In the midst of the labor upsurge of the Great Depression, radical college students built a mass movement on campuses across the U.S. which fought for economic empowerment and political freedoms, won many significant victories, and linked the student rebellion to the working class struggle. Their militancy, organization, and trenchant critique of capitalist society posed an increasing threat to the system. How did these students do it, and what do they have to teach us?
